Bohemond has returned to historical study via the Pocket Essentials series and has delved into a book on the History and Myths of the legendary military Order of the Templars.
He has enjoyed how the book explores the influence that Templars have exerted since their dissolution.
The book cleverly balances the view of orthodox historians who see the Templars as nothing more than soldier-monks, whose arrogance was their eventual undoing, with other historians who see the Templars as occultists of the first-order, the founders of Freemasonry , possessors of the Holy Grail and creators of the Turin Shroud. Sean Martin considers both the orthodox and alternative versions, an examination that is helped by the latest Vatican documents to have been released about the Templar era.
